Terrific Tuesday

Tuesday is Independence Day in Grenada. Grenada gets two million tourists and 200 inches of rain a year. Grenada holds the world record for soaking tourists.

On February 7th in 1827 French dancer Madame Francisque Hutin introduced ballet to the U.S. at the Bowery Theater in New York. Ladies got up and left because Madame Hutin's tutu was too too revealing. But men, who were much more cultured and refined, stayed for the entire ballet.

Daniel Boone was captured by Indians on February 7thy in 1778. Fortunately, the Indians were more than happy to let him go. Back then, Daniel wore a skunkskin cap.

Singer Garth Brooks was born in Tulsa 44 years ago Tuesday. Garth is so rich, he could retire, buy Oklahoma, and play high-stakes Bingo all year without going broke.
