McCain Says Send Dixie Chicks

Big News

Senator John McCain said Thursday that America should deploy more troops to Iraq. He did not immediately volunteer to go himself.
- Probably prefers to send Democrats.
- He could send young Republicans -- but there aren't any.

And the President says he can't be rushed while thinking about what to do in Iraq. If he'd given half as much thought to getting into Iraq as he's giving to getting out of Iraq, we never would have been in Iraq.

Actually, it's kind of sad. Iraq has no army, no navy, no air force to protect itself -- just like before the U.S. invaded.
- Here's the sad part. We still can't beat these guys!

All Iraq ever had was a smart-alec leader lying about weapons of mass destruction.
- Actually, that's about all we had, too.
- Plus, of course, truth and the Dixie Chicks.

Shallow Thoughts

You know you're getting a little too heavy when you're sprawled on the floor and your 4-year-old jumps onto your stomach and yells, "Hi yo, Shamu, away!"

Ah, the weekend -- that wonderful time when you pull up and stop to let the strain go by.
