Be Thankful for Congressional Vacations

Big News

Congress is still vacationing and that's good. Congressional vacations are essential to America's survival. The time politicians spend on vacation gives the country time to recover from all the damage they do while they're not on vacation.

Terrific Tuesday

On April 18 in 1956 eyeglasses were worn by a major league umpire for the first time during a game. Coincidentally, seeing-eye dogs were not allowed because they kept trying to field ground balls.

Wilbur Wright was born on April 18 in 1867. He was the other Wright brother, the one running along under history's first airplane flight, when his brother Orville got airsick.

April is Keep America Beautiful Month, so do your part. Pick up a beer can. Or a wino.
