Save America -- Adopt a Rich Kid!
Big News
President Bush's health secretary threatened on Sunday to shut down a children's health insurance program it Democrats tried to override the President's veto of a bill to enlarge the program to cover more kids. Wow, Republicans have enough nerve for everybody in the universe and vicinity and their pit bulls.
- You know what? I finally figured out why Republicans are so cold-hearted. Because when they were growing up, nobody liked their parents.
- Think about it. It's got to be embarrassing for a kid to have Republican parents. So they hide their feelings and try to be tough.
- Folks, the only way this nation can avoid more bad presidents is to start being really nice to Republicans' kids.
- That's right, a little affirmative action.
- Hey, you want to save the country or not?
The big mess started when President Bush vetoed a bipartisan bill that would have dramatically expanded children's health insurance. The President called the bill the beginning of socialized medicine. If saving a few kids' lives is socialized medicine, heck, bring it on.
- We're the only "civilized" nation without socialized medicine anyway.
Republican White House hopeful John McCain says President Bush made a mistake after the Sept. 11 terror attacks by encouraging people to shop rather than urging citizens to join the military. That's right. If we'd only had more troops, no telling how many we could have lost.
- On the other hand, the more fatherless children, the greater the need for kids health insurance.
- So who knows, maybe the President was just thinking ahead.

Shallow Thoughts
The abortion issue is so ironic. Every person who is pro-choice had a mother who was pro-life.
- Didn't say it was funny, I said it's ironic.
Well, I lost big at poker again last night. I sometimes wish I'd never taught the wife and kids to play.
